 STOVE COMPANIES GREATLY EXAGGERATE TENT STOVE BURN TIMES. Some companies exaggerate burn times 50-100%.

The only way to compare burn times between different camping wood stove models is to compare the size of stove firebox in cubic feet and if the stove has a door gasket. The more wood you can put in a stove - the longer the camping wood stove will burn.

A wood camp stove must have a DOOR GASKET TO BE AIR TIGHT. A door gasket (airtight stove) allows you to control the rate of burn better. Some companies claim their stoves are airtight. No gasket, the wall tent stove is not airtight.

Bottom line: The stove with a door gasket and with the largest fire box, will provide the most heat and have the longest burning time regardless of what a stove salesman states.

The Wilderness and Yukon stoves will burn longer than any other tent stove as they have the largest fire boxes available measured by cubic feet and have  a gasket on the door.

SAFETY - WATER TANKS. Do not remove a water tank that is hot. If you accidentally lose your grip or if the tank does not become disengaged properly from the tank bracket you will spill boiling water on yourself and require immediate medical care for extremely painful 1st degree burns.

Received my wilderness 4 deluxe tent stove.  Cured the stove outside like your instructions state. You were right about the smell when curing the stove.  I sure didn't need that smell permeating my canvas. Very impressed with quality, Rodney.

 A larger and heavier wall tent stove is more appropriate for base camps and tent camping near a road. These heavier camping wood stoves are much more durable (1/8" steel) than the a lightweight wall tent stove.

Riley Stoves has 5 lightweight camping wood stove models that will meet heating requirements in any tent size.

Riley Stoves also have 5 pellet burning stove models. These pellet tent stoves do not require electricity to operate.

 IF YOU HAVE A STOVE PIPE OPENING IN A WALL, you will need to purchase straight pipe and 2 elbows with your stove. Most stoves have nesting pipe with different sizes of pipe that fit inside one another to allow storing pipe in the fire box. Elbows will not work with nesting pipe.
