WILDERNESS CANVAS HUNTING TENT "STANDARD" FEATURES:

1. Free REINFORCED EAVE WITH HEAVY DUTY WEBBING ALONG THE ENTIRE EAVE WITH STEEL D RINGS. MUCH STRONGER THAN NORMAL TENTS THAT JUST HAVE GROMMETS PRESSED INTO CANVAS ON THE EAVE.
2. WEBBING IS ON BOTTOM OF EAVE TO ALLOW RAIN & SNOW TO RUN OFF THE TOP OF THE EAVE EASILY.
3. Free zipper front door with storm flap and buckles
4. Free back door with storm flap or FREE window on back wall - your choice.

A FLY IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for any hunting tent you purchase. Stove sparks from the stove pipe will occasionally land on your tent roof and burn small holes in the roof even if you have a fire treated tent. The only way to prevent roof burn holes is a fly. A fly also provides another moisture barrier, protects the canvas from UV rays and helps keep the tent roof clean when camping under trees. Also, a fly acts as insulation as there is a " warm space " between the fly and tent roof created by your tent stove heat.

Canvas tents are water resistant - not water proof. If you do not have a fly, during wet conditions, where you touch the tent - it will leak. Additionally, where your rafters touch the tent roof, the frame rafters will be wet.

ANGLE KITS
Purchasing angle kits and then purchasing 1" inside diameter, thin walled, electrical conduit ( slightly less than 1 1/4 " outside diameter) at a local hardware store is the most economical approach to purchasing an internal frame. Internal frame shipping charges are very high due to the weight and size of an internal frame. I will provide assistance if you have trouble understanding the provided angle kit instructions. Floor: Loose vinyl floor. Grommets at corners for staking. No cutout for stove. A Cutout for stove allows water, insects and small rodents to enter tent.

RECOMMENDATION: Never place a stove directly on the floor or on any flammable material. Purchase a $35 fire proof mat or use some other type of nonflammable material under the stove.

Rain Fly: Stove jack area cut out and reinforced with webbing to match stove pipe opening in tent Clear poly material - 100% UV protection. Fly has center ridge grommets on each end and grommets along sides. Includes ropes, tensioners. Fly is even with ends of tent and has a 8-12" overhang on sides of tent. NO stakes/spikes.

RECOMMENDATION: I strongly recommend a fly for all wilderness canvas hunting tents. The fly protects your canvas roof from sparks burning a hole in the roof. I would much rather have a spark burn hole in my fly than the tent roof. Additionally, the fly is another moisture barrier, protects the tent from UV rays, helps keep your tent clean and performs as insulation.

COOK SHACK WILL HAVE GROMMETS ON THE EAVES & NO WEBBING

RECOMMENDATION: MOST TIMES IT IS MORE COST EFFECTIVE AND BETTER UTILIZATION TO BUY A SMALLER TENT AND USE IT FOR A COOKSHACK. BUYING A SMALLER TENT WILL ALLOW YOU TO TAKE IT HUNTING WHEN YOU NEED A SMALLER TENT FOR LESS HUNTERS.

ARMY DUCK - DOUBLE FILL QUALITY

1. Made of 10.1 oz "Double Fill" Cotton Duck canvas. Army Duck canvas wall tents have two threads twisted together to make one single thread making the canvas stronger and more durable. These double threads are woven into canvas both lengthwise and crosswise.
2. Makes a much tighter weave.
3. Keeps heat in and moisture out better than other canvas.
4. Army Duck canvas is more durable and stronger than other canvas material and is used in all high quality winter tents.
5. 10.1 oz Army Duck Double Fill Marine Grade Fire Resistant Duck double fill: Treated for mildew, water and fire resistance. Fire resistant canvas camping tents will only burn if there is a continuous flame against the canvas.

1. The Wilderness Tent has "webbing on the eaves with D rings" making it much stronger compared to having only grommets pressed into canvas eaves like normal canvas hunting tents. The webbing running the entire length of the eave distributes the pressure along the entire eave unlike grommets which has all the pressure on each grommet. Additionally, the "ridge has a double layer of canvas" for additional reinforcement. The most pressure on a tent is at the eaves and the ridge. Be assured, the additional reinforcement on each Wilderness Hunting Tent will help provide a high quality tent that can withstand rough hunting conditions. The Wilderness is an excellent addition to any hunting camp.

18. Wilderness canvas camping tents sizes listed are tent cut sizes, like most tent companies. Cut size means the size of the canvas prior to the canvas pieces sewn together. When the canvas is sewn together the hems and seams reduce the width and length approximately 3-6 inches.
