Relite spike tent is made by Montana Canvas Tents
WALLS are 3' on 10x10 & 4' 6" on 12x12.
Relite is a synthetic material that weighs approximpately 60% less than canvas spike tents. Fire treated, waterproof and just as durable as a canvas spike tent.
Relite spike tent "package" includes tent fly and aluminum frame
Stove area on floor is zippered
Stove jack 4", 5", or 6 ", specify when ordering. 4" stove jack will be shipped unless specified
Fly should be 4-6" above tent roof, fly helps prevent condensation
Zippered door with weather/storm flap w/buckles and screen door
Zippered front door is an inverted "T" to accommodate the floor
3 windows, 24"H x 30"W, screened, zippered flap to allow ventilation
Spike tent aluminum frame, center pole 8'6", 3 pieces

Relite is a synthetic fabric. Using a propane stove or boiling water will cause condensation. A wood burning stove usually helps prevent condenation caused by breathing. Opening a window several inches also prevents condensation. Relite will not shrink 1-3% like canvas and no shrinkage reduction factor is required for an internal frame. Relite is as strong as canvas and both retain heat inside the tent equal to canvas.
Colors available - tan, white or light green. Tan will be shipped unless specifed. If ordering online you will receive a tan unless you email or call us.

Relite tents are much lighter for packing but you must determine if the reduced weight is worth the possibility of condensation inside your tent. Relite is as strong as canvas and retains heat inside the tent equal to canvas. However, sparks will burn a hole in a Relite roof much easier than canvas. If you purchase a Relite tent I recommend a fly to protect the Relite tent from sparks.

Recommendation: Unless weight is extremely critical, I would recommend the canvas bangtail tent. The canvas roof allows the tent to breathe and eliminates condensation, and reduces the possibility of a spark hole in the tent roof.
