RELITE PYRAMID TENT or CANVAS PYRAMID TENT

AVAILABLE IN BOTH RELITE AND CANVAS

Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery

A GREAT WINTER TENT AS SNOW DOES NOT ACCUMULATE ON THE ROOF.

This relite ( or canvas ) pyramid tent is the best pyramid tent on the market. No other pyramid tent has 4 internal support poles for a frame. Side walls stay forced to the sides due to the 4 corner poles which provides more available space.

  • Relite pyramid tent with its cone/pyramid shape is great for camping in snow.
  • Made from relite for lightweight packing. Relite pyramid tents weigh 60% less than canvas pyramid tents
  • Relite tent is waterproof, mildew resistant and fire treated
  • Sizes 10x7 and 12x10 - - - see diagram above. .
BOTH SIZES ARE APPROXIMATELY 8' 3" IN HEIGHT
  • Relite colors available: tan, white or spring green. If color not specified tan will be shipped.
  • Top is enclosed
  • Zippered door with flap. Zipper for door is on left side looking at tent from outside.
  • 2 zippered windows with flap, one on each side, 24"Hx 30"W
  • Sewn in floor
  • Stove jack and zippered area for stove $ OPTION. Zippered area in floor for stove included in stove jack price option.
  • Stovejack centered in back wall. CENTER OF STOVEJACK HOLE IS 58" UP ROOF.
  • Quick set -up: 1. Stake out 4 corners; 2.Insert the four corner poles that are provided
  • Corner pole length is 9', 3 pieces, corner poles included in purchase price
  • Vinyl pouch sewn in tent peak for corner pole to fit inside
  • D ring pullouts on 4 sides to maintain shape and to secure/guy the tent during high winds. D rings at 36".
  • O-ring at top of tent to tie to tree branch if you don't want to pack the poles
  • Relite, and all synthetic material, will possibly cause condensation if using a propane stove or boiling water. A wood burning stove usually helps prevent condensation. Opening a window several inches also prevents condensation
  • Pole bag for poles

Relite will not shrink 1-3% like canvas and no shrinkage reduction factor is required for an internal frame. Relite tents are much lighter for packing but you must determine if the reduced weight is worth the possibility of condensation inside your tent. Relite is as strong as canvas and retains heat inside the tent equal to canvas. However, sparks will burn a hole in a Relite roof much easier than canvas. If you purchase a Relite tent I recommend a fly to protect the Relite tent from sparks.

BANGTAIL TENT INSTRUCTIONS
Setting Up Your Bangtail Tent

  1. First roll your tent out on the ground.
  2. Stake the four bottom cornersof the tent with the stake loops provided
  3. If using an internal frame this is the time to assemble the frame parts. This should consists of 12 pieces. 3 pieces make ONE pole. Two pieces on this pole will have a rubber crutch tip on one end and the center piece will have a female end and a male end so the two pieces with the rubber crutch tips will insert into this center piecemaking one pole. This step will be repeated with the remaining poles with rubber crutch tips on each end.
  4. At this stage you need to unzip the door on the tent nad take one completed pole set and insert it throught the door on the tent and work it up to the center of the tent and insert rubber crutch tip on one end throught the pocket providedat the peak of the tent. Take the other end of the pole and push it to the corresponding corner and velcro bottom of pole to the corner. Repeat this process with the remaining poles.
  5. The tent should be erected at this point. You will have some bulk rope you can take and cut three pieces about 6' feet long. This is to tie off the three sides for high winds.
  6. If you are not using the internat frame you can cut some rope and use the "O" ring at the top of the tent to suspend the tent from a tree branch.
  7. After the tent is set up for the first time you should wet the tent down with a garden hose and let dry. This can be done twice then apply seem sealer down all the seams. Seam sealer is provided.
