4. Relite: Polyester based fabric is extremely lightweight, soft, pliable and easy to clean. Tear strength and longevity better than canvas. Water, mildew and fire retardant. Tan is the only relite color available on blend and Relite Outfitters Tent.

BLEND TENT

1.Recommended for individuals who prefer a lighter weight tent or a tent to pack in.
2.Saves approximately 40% in weight from a standard 10.1 oz Montana Canvas wall tent.
3.Blend tents lighter weight makes the larger tents much easier to transport, set-up and take down.
4.Roof is made of 10 oz Water, Mildew & Fire Treated: This tent roof will only burn if there is a continuous flame against the canvas. If you remove the flame source the tent will stop burning. Canvas tent roof has a paraffin water, mildew, fire treatment. The heavy paraffin treatment makes this canvas roof very water, mildew and fire resistant.
5.Ends and sidewalls are made of Relite a synthetic water/mildew.fire resistant material.
6.Relite wall colors available: white, tan or light green. Specify color when ordering relite tent. Tan will be ordered if customer states no preference
7.Relite: Polyester based fabric is extremely lightweight. Soft pliable easy to clean. Tear strength and longevity better than canvas.

If you want pack saddles or panniers from Pack Saddle Shop- order them and state you want them transported to Canvas Tent Shop on the next shipment to BC.

Your shipping costs to BC will be 50% of what is listed for shipping within the US to cover our costs. Brokerage fees are eliminated, a $60 -$70 savings. Items to order in this manner do not include identical Canvas Tent Shop products. Also, prices on Pack Saddle Shop and Wall Tent Shop are in USD.

You will save $200+ on Custom Montana Canvas Tents by eliminating brokerage fees and reducing shipping. This is an economical way to purchase a large custom tent with an aluminum frame, that is so expensive in Canada.

If you want to buy a Riley Pellet Stove for your Montana Tent - again, you will eliminate brokerage fees and also significantly reduce shipping.

However, you might have to wait a month or two get on the next shipment to BC. Or, you might get lucky and and have your items on a shipment to BC leaving in a week or two.

FLOOR & RAIN FLY

Montana Tent Fly: Tan relite fly. 1 Foot overhang on each side of tent. Zipper opening for stove pipe. "Does not" include rope and tensioners , a $35 option.

BC - Rain Fly: NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE The BC fly is available for individuals preferring a thicker translucent poly fly that is much more resistant to stove sparks than a relite fly. Regardless of what tent stove you purchase, stove sparks will go up the stove pipe and occasionally land on your fly. Stove jack area cut out and reinforced with webbing. Fly has center ridge grommets on each end and grommets along sides. Fly is even with ends of tent and has a one foot overhang on sides of tent. "Does include" rope and tensioners.

Montana Stake in Floor: 13 oz " white " laminated vinyl. Banded edges provide additional strength and tough metal grommets offer a secure base for staking the tent floor to the ground. Floors have a 5' x 5' cutout for a stove. Blend tents have Relite floors - tan or a 13 oz laminated vinyl - customer preference. I strongly recommend a laminated vinyl as it is more durable than relite unless weight is a major consideration. SPECIFY RELITE OR VINYL WHEN ORDERING.

BC - Stake In Floor: The BC " green " floor, 18 oz , is available for individuals who want a dark floor that doesn't show dirt as much. Grommets at corners for staking. Continuous floor. No cut out for stove.

RECOMMENDATION: I strongly recommend a fly for all outfitter tents. The fly protects your canvas roof from sparks burning a hole in the roof. I would much rather have a spark burn hole in my fly than the tent roof. Additionally, the fly is another moisture barrier, protects the tent from canvas destroying UV rays, keeps your tent roof clean. And just as important, fly acts as insulation due to the warm area between your roof and tent fly created by the heat from your tent stove. Now you know why we like a fly so much.

Porch and cook shacks are very expensive. It probably makes more economic sense to buy a bigger tent or buy another smaller tent to use as a cook shack You could use the smaller tent if you ever go hunting with fewer hunting friends.

MONTANA WALL TENT - FIXED STEEL ANGLE KITS

Purchasing tent frame angle kits and then purchasing 1 inch inside diameter, thin walled, electrical conduit ( slightly less than 1 1/4 " outside diameter) at a local hardware store is the most economical approach to purchasing an internal frame. Montana tent frame shipping within Canada or from the US costs are very, very high due to the weight and bulk of tent frame.

I will provide assistance if you have trouble understanding angle kit instructions to make your frame. Typical frame savings using an angle kit, including shipping, on a 12x14 internal frame is $200+ and 16x20 savings is $350+

TENT FRAME OPTIONS AVAILABLE: Breakdown - normally: legs (2 pieces) , rafters ( 3 pieces) , tent lengths ( 3 pieces). Additional 10% of stated frame price

1. Outfitter tents have canvas with a special heavy paraffin water, mildew, fire finished treatment that should make the Outfitter tent very water, mildew and fire resistant.
2. Stove jack with a weather flap in your choice of 4", 5", or 6" opening. Flap includes velcro and buckles. Stove jack is on left side in the roof as you enter the tent. Center of stove jack is 32" from left end wall and 24" from left side wall.
3. Full length ridge pole reinforcement with extra layer of canvas and additional reinforcement at the gable ends.
4. Outfitter tents eaves and bottom of tent have 18 oz truck vinyl with 1/4" rope sewn between two layers of canvas doubled stitched. This reinforcement is to ensure extra strength at all grommet locations.
5. Webbing at top of door for reinforcement on all outfitter tents.
6. End wall seams using six layers of canvas-double lock stitched.
7. Walls are a full five feet in height.
8. 7'6" doors have a heavy duty trouble-free YKK zipper with a generous weather flap that is secured by Fastex side release buckles. So easy to use. In mild weather, simply buckle the doors open and enjoy the great outdoors!
9. The bottom of the Montana tent is reinforced with webbing and utilizes grommets instead of sewn-in stake loops to allow you to stake your tent from the in side or outside of your outfitter tent.
10. The sod cloth that is sewn onto the tent bottom extends a generous 12" beyond the tent floor to provide a weather-tight seal. Compatible with any terrain and weather condition, the sod cloth can be folded inside or extended outside the assembled tent.
11. There is a 6" ridge hole at each end of ridge for inserting lodge pole. When using an internal frame, a flap covers the holes.
12. Relite is a synthetic fabric. Using a propane stove or boiling water will cause condensation. A wood burning stove prevents condensation caused by breathing. Opening a window several inches also prevents condensation. Relite is as strong as canvas and retains heat inside the tent equal to canvas. However, sparks will burn a hole in relite outfitters tent roof much easier than canvas as it is a thinner material. If you purchase a Relite tent I recommend a fly to protect the relite Montana Canvas Tent tent from sparks.
